Engineering Manager

Overview

Join Net Actuate as an Engineering Manager to lead an agile engineering team. You will work closely with the CEO and the leadership team to build and scale a high‑performing team of 5‑8 engineers.

• Act as the scrum manager for the team, overseeing sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Create user stories, tasks, and engineering documents to guide the development process.
• Assist with architectural decisions and provide technical guidance.
• Lead by example and remain hands‑on, contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
• Manage backend services (daemons), API layer projects, and frontend portals.
• Implement modern CI/CD principles, including pipelines, workflows, and QA integration.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.

• Strong proficiency in PHP, Python, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of Linux, APIs, web services, and networking.
• Familiarity with microservices, containers, and virtualization.
• Experience with modern CI/CD principles and tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Preferred: experience working in a smaller/startup environment.
