DescriptionOur Client seeks a technically skilled Cloud Architect to support Delta Lake, Big Data, and Machine Learning analytics using technologies such as Apache Spark. The role involves providing advanced technical and business expertise to senior client officials for enterprise improvement, assessing organizational effectiveness, and implementing change strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities- Minimum 15 years of IT Architecture/Systems experience
- 10+ years designing technical and business solutions, mentoring staff, and overseeing implementations
- Extensive technical and industry experience in systems design, development, process analysis, and reengineering
- Business management, systems engineering, operations research, and management engineering expertise
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and management of Azure Cloud environment
- Assist with migration of existing ETL jobs to Azure/Databricks cloud environment
- Provide guidance to ETL staff on Cloud best practices, efficiency optimization, and knowledge sharing
- Operationalize deployments and Cloud services for ETL Operations, including automation, documentation, and knowledge articles
- Present written and oral status reports to high‑level client CIO management
- Strong skills and experience in Cloud Operations support in Azure
- Experience supporting large-scale/enterprise level Cloud environments
- Experience supporting cloud services (compute, network, databases, etc.)
- Experience with Databricks or other Spark-based platforms
- Knowledge/experience with Sqoop, Oozie, Flume
- Fluency in scripting languages:
Python, Perl, Ruby (or equivalent) - Ability to troubleshoot cloud resource problems and perform complex system tests
- Ability to automate solutions to repetitive problems/tasks
- Experience with Git integration in continuous deployment
- Experience with Dev Ops monitoring tools
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in always‑up/always‑available environments
- Documentation skills for internal procedures and services
