The Digital Product Manager leads significant product initiatives, defines key backlog items, represents the customer with empathy in the mobile experience, and collaborates with leadership on strategy and execution. Responsibilities include driving digital adoption for revenue generation or cost savings, business case creation, digital product management, collaborative UX design, compliance, customer analytics, and customer experience strategy.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of mobile user behavior, fintech best practices, and the ability to translate customer needs into intuitive banking experiences that reflect our bank’s unique brand and value propositions. Candidates should be familiar with mobile app go-to-market nuances unique to the app stores and update cycles.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a multi-year roadmap for mobile banking product strategy
Set and measure OKRs
Use customer insights to shape strategy
Balance innovation with compliance and risk
Act as a key stakeholder in improving customer experience metrics (e.g., NPS)
Lead end-to-end for all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and integration of products and introducing products to the market. Specifically for iOS and Android banking applications
Grow and retain client relationships through mobile banking, generating new business, and driving revenue growth through lifetime value of a client
Monitor mobile app performance metrics (e.g. app store ratings, feature usage, crash and bug reports) and use this feedback to drive informed product decisions
Champion our ability to adopt emerging technologies, deploy competitive features, and adopt user-centric mobile banking trends
Manage vendor relationships when applicable for mobile specific integrations
Lead the discovery, refinement, and delivery sprint cycles of mobile banking application features in coordination with other key digital banking work streams such as money movement, security & login, card servicing, and personal financial management
Collaborate cross-functionally with designers (UX/UI), marketing, operations, technology, and compliance to ensure solutions unique to mobile app experience and app store rollout are thoughtfully deployed
Drive mobile feature adoption goals with the use of smart banners, deep links, QR codes, and other best practices
Manage mobile specific features, SDKs, Mar Tech integrations, surveys, interstitials, and personalized communications in a cohesive manner that drives customer retention and relationship deepening goals for the business
Identify and define methods and modalities to alert, message, or notify the customer about transaction specific and account servicing specific information
Identify and define best practices for digital onboarding, contact information updates, and gamification of mobile app feature adoption
Identify and define best practices for integration of advanced personalization, A/B testing, and multi-variate testing within the mobile app
Identify and define best practices for privacy, consent, and preferences
Demonstrate ability to prioritize and communicate feasibility of various change requests with an understanding of the broader technology stack across all online banking and mobile with a key focus on features and specifications that are unique to iOS and Android platforms
Perform all other duties as assigned
4+ years of experience in product management with at least 2 years of experience focused on mobile apps, preferably with exposure to banking, fintech, or another regulated industry
Proven track record of launching and iterating successful customer facing features
Strong understanding of mobile design principles, accessibility standards, and scaling responsive native user interfaces for a growing array of devices
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma, and other similar tools
Experience working in omni-channel release management processes
Familiarity with React and React Native would-be a plus
Familiarity with feature flagging, piloting, and percentage-based rollouts is an important qualification
Familiarity with iOS App Store and Google Play Store required
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills. Able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences as needed
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, design, or another human centered field; MBA or advanced certifications a plus
