We are seeking an experienced IT Software Asset Management Analyst to support the team's overall responsibilities for software inventory, license and entitlement management, software compliance, lifecycle management, software normalization, and unauthorized software remediation. While the position participates in the SAM team's broader operational responsibilities, its primary focus is the organization's Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) program. Analysts in this role are responsible for SBOM collection, validation, analysis, component identification and normalization, open-source software visibility, and integration of SBOM information with software asset and license data.
The ideal candidate will serve as a key SAM resource supporting the organization's SBOM program, including SBOM processes, standards, procedures, governance, and continuous improvement activities. Additionally, the analyst will design functional SBOM processes and solutions and develop detailed business and functional requirements, including process flows, data requirements, and acceptance criteria, for new capabilities, integrations, and enhancements. When the analyst is not supporting the SBOM program, they will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing software inventory, installation, license, contract, and entitlement information as well as supporting software license reconciliation and identifying potential compliance and optimization opportunities.
