Facilities Maintenance Associate

WLFL is seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment. This position supports day-to-day facility operations, coordinates deliveries and vendors, and assists the engineering team with maintenance and repair projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment.
• Monitor and replenish janitorial and facility supplies to ensure adequate inventory is available.
• Identify maintenance needs and complete approved repairs promptly; obtain expense approval from the Chief Engineer before incurring costs.
• Schedule, coordinate, and monitor work performed by outside vendors and contractors.
• Quickly address safety concerns, including spills, trip hazards, and other unsafe conditions.
• Handle and move heavy packages and equipment weighing more than 50 pounds for delivery or pickup.
• Assist engineering team members with projects and other duties as needed.
• Assist with light station vehicle maintenance such as state inspections, checking oil levels, and routinely driving them to ensure proper function, and registration renewals.
• Perform all state-required monthly, semiannual, and annual safety inspections of equipment such as AED devices, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and exit signs.
• Perform other related duties to support station operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, engineering support, or a related field preferred.
• General knowledge of basic maintenance and repair practices such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and commercial building technologies.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond promptly to urgent facility or safety needs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and vendor-coordination skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with employees across departments and supporting a technical engineering team.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record will be required.
