Marketing Manager, Marketing Strategy
As the Associate Director, Regional Marking Leader (ADRML) for Lung in the Carolinas, you will harness your clinical knowledge and experience in order to make a significant impact on patient care with a global pharmaceutical company. The RML develops and implements Regional Marketing Plans with guidance and direction from the Leader of the RML team that align with the strategic imperative of the brand strategy plans to influence and shape local brand commercial success.
The RML coordinates with Oncology Business Managers and National Oncology Account Directors to advise geography strategic planning by being the connection between the headquarters marketing team and the needs at the geography.
The ADRML generates timely and actionable on-label customer insights that inform real-time commercialization approach and strategic insights with appropriate data to advise annual brand planning at the regional level. The role develops tailored initiatives that optimally educate given the unique local market opportunities consistent with the regional business plan and with local ESE advocacy. This role will identify and engage with regional customers and integrate their input to build market leadership and achieve commercial objectives.
Ensures ethical business decisions and actions are consistently proven. The RML role works closely with the Leader of the RML team for the development of marketing strategies and is coached to deliver regional marketing plans that align. Reporting to the Head of Regional Marketing.
- Regional Marketing:
With the support of the Head of the RML team, develop and implement Regional Marketing Plans that align with brand strategy plan strategic imperatives and that influence and develop local brand support. Apply compliant input from external thought leaders to help build market leadership and achieve commercial objectives. - ESE Customer Engagement:
Identify and effectively engage a core group of 35-50 National and Regional ESEs, applying advanced scientific communication and business skills that lead to advocacy of the brand. - Insights Generation:
Generate timely and actionable customer insights that inform Brand strategic decision making and other important medical and marketing adjustments through interactions (1:1s, congresses, consultancies, and advisory board meetings) - Business Ethics and Foresight:
Compliantly prioritizing multiple program budgets, timelines, processes, and procedures. - Internal
Collaboration:
Collaborate with field sales leadership and ADs and Brand Teams to develop and implement local regional strategies and tactics based on local market opportunities. - Other Duties:
The role will require some work to be conducted during evenings and weekends - Overnight travel will be required including Hawaii & Overseas
- Expected travel up to 50% monthly
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, strategic planning
- 3 years of Oncology marketing and/or sales experience
- Documented success in partnership-building with industry thought leaders
- Advanced Degree ( MS, MBA, or PhD)
- 10 years of experience in pharmaceu1cal and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: managed markets, brand marketing, sales management, strategic planning
- 5 years of Oncology marketing or sales experience
- Extensive, documented thought leader/ key opinion leader (KOL) management
