Job Description
Regional Geophysics Manager – Terracon Terracon is a 100 % employee‑owned multidisciplinary consulting firm focused on solving engineering and technical challenges across more than 180 locations nationwide. Responsibilities- Oversee regional geophysics teams, ensuring consistent operations, training, and equipment utilization.
- Partner with national and regional managers to grow revenue, standardize policies, and deliver coordinated services.
- Monitor team performance through site visits, safety incident investigations, quality audits and metrics.
- Execute geophysics business initiatives for the Southeast Division offices.
- Provide safety, quality, and production oversight, recommending improvements to national leadership.
- Lead geophysical marketing activities, including pricing and planning.
- Recruit, interview and select team members throughout the Southeast Division.
- Manage project risk: ensure contracts are fully executed, monitor compliance with corporate risk policies, and hold managers accountable.
- Communicate safety initiatives and enforce safety rules and guidelines for the office and region.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects, ensuring best practices and holding managers accountable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology/Geophysics) and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years of related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
