Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Roaming Quality Inspector to join our team on 2nd shift (typical hours are 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM Monday through Thursday). In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting both in-process and finished goods to ensure they meet internal and customer specifications. You will play a key role in helping maintain SMT’s high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of in-process parts and finished products across the facility
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to verify product conformance
  • Accurately document inspection results and report any non-conformities
  • Work closely with production personnel to resolve quality issues
  • Support continual improvement efforts in quality processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role is required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation
  • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proficiency with common inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc) preferred
