The Pastor of Administration will serve as a Staff Elder reporting to the Lead Pastor. This position oversees the operational, financial, and organizational functions of Vision Church as well as providing oversight and leadership to the staff who support these areas. This individual ensures that ministries are resourced, supported, and aligned with the mission of the church in making disciples of Jesus Christ.
A passion for developing healthy systems and empowering people for ministry is essential.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Serve as the primary day-to-day leader for all staff, overseeing culture, accountability, and execution.
- Champion an environment of ownership, measurable outcomes, and ministry effectiveness.
- Oversee all staff goal-setting, performance reviews, and ongoing development.
- Support the Lead Pastor in leading a staff team that is high-performing, healthy, and sustainable.
- Oversee HR processes at a high level, working in partnership with the Administrative Assistant.
- Maintain clarity in staff policies (staff handbook), structure, and role descriptions.
- Build systems that produce ongoing staff development including coaching through regular one-on-one meetings.
- Foster a workplace culture that is collaborative, life-giving, and mission-driven.
- Oversee and lead all-staff meetings.
- Support the Lead Pastor in developing future elders and provide ongoing spiritual guidance
- Develop annual organizational and ministry goals and evaluation systems.
- Provide administrative insight for long-range planning, growth strategies, and ministry initiatives.
- Identify ministry gaps or weaknesses and make recommendations for staffing or system changes.
- Supervise, support, and meet regularly with ministry and life group leaders.
- Provide oversight of the day-to-day administrative functions/operations of the church.
- Maintain and evaluate church policies, procedures, and records to ensure effective operations.
- Oversee campus, vendor relationships, and operational logistics.
- Ensure excellence, functionality, and stewardship in all physical environments.
- Assist with long-term facility planning, upgrades, and expansion in conjunction with the Lead Pastor and Growth Strategy Team (GST).
- Partner with the Finance Team and Administrative Assistant to develop, manage, and monitor the annual budget.
- Oversee all ministry budgets and ensure financial alignment with the vision of the church.
- Review ministry expenditures to confirm alignment with the church’s mission.
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to create long-term financial strategies for sustainability and expansion.
- Be a born‑again believer in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior
- Friendly and professional demeanor, a hospitable and humble spirit, and a kind, compassionate, and caring heart for people and for developing Christ‑centered relationships.
- Ability to hold honest, respectful conversations when addressing challenges, seeking to strengthen relationships and advance the mission.

- Capability to communicate clearly and effectively through a variety of mediums (e.g., face‑to‑face interactions, phone calls, email exchanges, text messages, etc).
- Be (or become) a faithful member of Vision, affirming our Statement of Faith, Constitution, and Bylaws.
- Knowledge of church management software (e.g., Subsplash, Planning Center) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in church leadership (Pastoral position) preferred
- Complete and pass a background check
- Actively Participate in a Vision Life Group.
- Attend Staff meetings and church-wide events.
