Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate, qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Breast Medical Oncology team. The ideal candidate has exceptional internal medicine skills and oncology experience. They will work with a multidisciplinary team providing direct patient care services. Primary hours will be Monday‑Friday day shift with flexibility to meet patient needs. No evening or weekend call.

Job Duties & Responsibilities- Promote and maintain high standards of patient care throughout the continuum of cancer diagnosis
- Elicit detailed and accurate patient histories and perform complete physical examinations.
- Order appropriate diagnostic imaging and tests to determine medical and post‑treatment diagnoses, patient conditions, treatment toxicities.
- Formulate appropriate treatment plans with critical thinking skills and high‑level judgement; this includes prescribing appropriate medications.
- Chart patient progress maintaining detailed and accurate medical records
- Protect patient confidentiality, maintain ethics and abide by North Carolina laws and Duke Health System policies.
- Participate in clinical research projects.
- Collaborate, support and build strong relationships with supervising and back‑up physicians and APP colleagues.
- Participate in education of patients, family members, new staff, students and other learners.
- Maintain up‑to‑date clinical and professional knowledge via approved CME.

- Nurse Practitioners:
Requires completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a Master's degree in Nursing. - Physician Assistants:
Requires completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is strongly preferred.

- Licensed in the State of North Carolina
- ACLS preferred
- BLS required.
