Where You’ll WorkSRT nurses must be flexible and willing to float between UNC REX Raleigh and UNC REX Holly Springs campuses. Daily assignments are determined based on staffing needs at both facilities.
Role OverviewThis position is ideal for nurses with Critical Care (ICU) experience. Initially, teammates will work primarily in one of the list areas below. After six months, and based on departmental needs, nurses may also be trained to work in other areas.
- Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU)
- Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CVSICU)
- Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU)
This is a night shift position, working 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Teammates at the Level IV status must meet the following scheduling requirements:
- Minimum of 24 hours/week (two 12-hour shifts) per 6-week schedule period
- At least two 12-hour weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Two official and one unofficial holiday worked annually
All SRT teammates are assigned a holiday track upon hire to ensure fair and equitable distribution of holiday shifts across the team.

Summary:
Performs assessments, documents patient status, develops individualized plan of care, implements plan of care, evaluates status, and initiates patient education plans according to individualized needs of patient.
