Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina
Start Date: October 8, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling; must work 3 weekends per 6-week schedule period. Patient ratios 1:1 to 1:2 in PICU, 1:2 to 1:3 in stepdown.

- Regional referral center with Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and the region's only children's hospital with pediatric emergency services
- Care for critically ill pediatric patients with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, ICP monitoring, central line care, tracheostomy management, and more
- Documentation in Cerner EMR; equipment includes Alaris pumps with shared unit technician support and health unit coordinator (9am-9pm)
- Float opportunities to Pediatrics and NICU units to expand clinical experience
- Self-scheduling available to support work-life balance
Requirements:
- Current North Carolina RN license (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of PICU nursing experience required
- PALS certification required
- Navy blue or white scrubs required per unit dress code
