Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling determined by department needs. No floating outside the Emergency Department, but must be available to work in all ED sections.
Highlights:- 101-bed Emergency Department with high patient volume (100,000+ annual visits)
- Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with pediatric emergency services
- Patient ratios: typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Cerner documentation system with state-of-the-art equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Supported by dedicated techs (cardiac monitoring, triage, processing), and unit clerks on day and night shifts
- Nationally recognized facility with multiple awards for clinical excellence and patient safety
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- 2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) strongly preferred
- Required certifications (must be current before start): ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC
- CPI certification required before date of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
- Commitment to patient experience standards including AIDET protocols and respectful communication
