Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Clinic Triage position requiring telephone triage experience and an NC or compact RN license.

• Active NC or Compact RN license required, must be in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience including telephone triage
• 1 year of charge experience required
• Experience with assessment, medication reconciliation, vital signs, and specimen collection
• Skilled in phlebotomy, wound care, and assisting with procedures
• Experience in family care, internal medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical clinic settings
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Supervisory reference from within the last year required

• Outpatient cardiology clinic setting
• Primary responsibilities include telephone triage and nurse line management
• Monitor and respond to MyChart patient advice, prior authorizations, and cardiac clearance forms
• Collaborate with internal and external care team members
• Documents encounters and follows clinic-established protocols
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Orientation held bi-weekly
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at the health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months
• RTO must be submitted with application, limited to 5-7 days maximum
