Assistant Property Manager
Campus Apartments is a leading provider of student housing with a mission to offer high‑quality accommodation across the country.
Location & SalaryRaleigh, NC | $50,000.00–$65,000.00
OverviewThe Assistant Property Manager reports to the General Manager and assists with all operational phases to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.
Responsibilities- Assist the General Manager in all actions that involve and/or influence the property
- Accept rent and follow up on delinquencies; post rent and miscellaneous income receipts
- Make daily bank deposits when receipts are on hand; post and follow up on NSF checks
- Handle evictions, NSF warrants, and turn over bad debts for collection
- Report income collection to the Property Accountant
- Assist with leasing activities and resident relations; answer telephones as needed
- Plan and direct social activities; inspect move‑outs and schedule units for turnkey
- Verify that move‑in and renewal lease information matches the computer entry
- Follow up on service requests, perform call backs, and verify completion of Weekly Leasing Reports
- Act as the primary record keeper of income and expense information and pay property level bills
- Submit properly coded invoices, process security deposits, and manage disbursement journals to the Property Accountant
- Maintain general maintenance, audit, and filing of property records
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Accredited Residential Manager (Institute of Real Estate Management) or Certified Apartment Manager (BOMA) preferred
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Entrata preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to follow through with all necessary paperwork and meet deadlines
