Position Information
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Requirements and Preferences
Bachelor's degree in some form of Life Science (e.g., animal science, biology, microbiology, etc.). Previous experience (2+ years) working in a laboratory setting preferred. Computer skills like graphic design and digital illustration preferred.
- Possess excellent organizational skills to be able to organize and store hundreds of DNA, blood, and serum samples received throughout the year.
- Good time management skills to address the ever changing research priorities of the laboratory.
Preferred:
Benchtop laboratory skills, i.e., pipetting, sample processing, and ability to extract DNA. Ability to process research samples using molecular assays and record test results into the appropriate research database in a timely manner. Individual should be able to confidently interpret research results and effectively troubleshoot issues when results are inaccurate or questionable.
