Overview
This technician will process bacterial cultures, mammalian cell cultures, and perform molecular, serological, histopathology and in-situ hybridization assays for the Intracellular Pathogens Research Laboratory (IPRL). Computer skills are required for data entry, result reporting, data summaries, and responding.
Responsibilities- Process bacterial cultures and mammalian cell cultures.
- Perform molecular, serological, histopathology, and in-situ hybridization assays for IP RL.
- Maintain accurate data entry, results reporting, data summaries, and communication as required.
- Four-year degree in Biology or equivalent related experience.
- Benchtop laboratory skills (e.g., pipetting, culturing bacteria, microscopy).
- Demonstrated experience or interest in molecular/histopathology/research laboratory settings.
- Previous experience in a molecular/histopathology/research laboratory setting is preferred.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
