Postdoctoral Research Scholar position in the Kinga Unocic Research Group, Department of Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University (NC State College of Engineering), Raleigh, NC.

Start date:

• Perform high-temperature oxidation testing and monitor sample testing.
• Characterize oxidation coupons and assist with lab setup.
• Post-characterization activities as required.
• Maintain and support lab operations.
• Develop and implement MATLAB/Python scripts for data analysis and automation.

• Assist with grant writing, bibliographic research, and preparation of figures.
• Assist with reporting activities, including collecting and collating results for reports.

• Work Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Required Skills:
  
  Computer word processing, spreadsheets, mapping, MATLAB or Python, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, knowledge of laboratory safety and biosafety practices.
• Preferred:
  Experience in laboratory testing, materials characterization, MATLAB, Python, fabrication.
