• Explore relevant parameter regions for useful boson-fermion mixed quantum matter; design, develop, and implement novel quantum algorithms to simulate them.
• Quantify resource requirements for simulation on hybrid CD-DV quantum processors under noise, and compare to qubit-based quantum computers.
• Explore compilation, benchmarking, HPC simulation, error mitigation, and error correction strategies on hybrid CV-DV quantum processors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand domain-specific requirements and integrate discoveries into the team’s mission.
• Help to lead the project and mentor junior researchers.
• Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences.

Experience with one of the following fields is preferred but not required: quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum simulation, quantum optics, quantum compilation, classical simulation and benchmarking of quantum circuits, condensed matter physics, programming, error correction, and signal processing.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $60,176 - $70,000
