* Demonstrated experience operating watercraft over 40 feet in length.
* Demonstrated experience with traditional watercraft maintenance including woodworking, rigging and Marlin spike seamanship.
* Basic knowledge of the operation and maintenance of marine engines, pumps, generators, and other auxiliary equipment.
* Demonstrated experience training and supervising volunteers.
* Experience conducting hands-on interpretive programs.

** Division of State Historic Sites
** was established to coordinate administration of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources’ State Historic Sites Program, which includes 27 historic sites across North Carolina and Division offices located in Raleigh. We connect people to North Carolina’s history, sharing the power of place to inspire a common future through preservation, education, and transformative engagement.
