Overview
Security Officer role at Andy Frain Services. Provide security detail as outlined in post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Maintain professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
- Maintain professional image by greeting customers, visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner.
- Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS.
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position; report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts as needed.
- Monitor cameras or equipment according to post orders.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and other relevant reports.
- Make recommendations to management on safety and loss prevention improvements identified during daily routine.
- Understand life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and other equipment; ensure safe operation of elevators and access doors; know authorized contractor personnel responsible for maintenance.
- Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate daily with Security Supervisor about new issues or changes to consider or implement.
- Honest, alert and disciplined; protect employee and customer property and safety.
- Constant and dedicated vigilance.
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor aligned with Andy Frain Services Mission.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work as part of a team; follow directions.
- Ability to work with urgency and communicate effectively (oral and written).
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).
- Willing to submit to a background and drug screen; employment contingent upon successful background investigation.
- Minimum 3–6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access control systems.
- State Guard license is required.
