Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Iron Worker Foreman for a project in Holly Springs, NC. Hired candidates will receive benefits and paid time off after a 3‑month period.

• Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
• Fasten steel members using chains, cables, or ropes.
• Signal workers operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel members.
• Guide members using tag lines (ropes).
• Pull, push, or pry steel members into approximate position while supported by the hoisting device.
• Use turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools to position members in final alignment.
• Align holes in members by using drift pins or handles of wrenches.
• Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of members with plumb bob and level.
• Bolts aligned members to hold them until permanent bolting or welding.
• Alter steel members as required.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Complete all required safety and general job training as mandated by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use all required PPE.
• Must safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, including confined spaces.
• Must stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces, ladders, personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward body positions.
• Must safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
• Physical demands are strenuous and require stamina.
