We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Southern Industrial is looking for Civil Helpers for a project in Clayton, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3‑months.

• Set forms
• Tie rebar
• Spreads concrete to specified depth and quality
• Level, smooth, and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete, using straightedge and float or power screed
• Finish concrete surfaces with power trowel or wet‑rub abrasive stone
• Remove rough or defective spots, and patch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy
• Mold expansion joints and edges with tools
• Produce rough concrete surface with broom
• Mix cement using hoe or concrete‑mixing machine
• Direct sub‑grade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms
• Follow set procedures and standards
• Rate information using measurable standards
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations
• Assist with loading, unloading and transporting material
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights
• Maintain regular attendance
• Significant travel may be required
• Perform other duties as required

• Skilled in written and verbal communication
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times

• Lift up to 50 pounds while using required PPE equipment
• Work in offices, shops, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions
• Safely access all areas: buildings, wharves, rooftops, other elevated positions, and confined spaces
• Perform strenuous physical tasks required for the job
• Operate all involved equipment and tools safely
• Stand for long periods, bend consistently, work in confined spaces, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and maintain awkward body positions
