Quality Engineer Automation

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts:
  Writing and updating test scripts using Selenium Web Driver in conjunction with programming languages like Java or Python to automate the testing of web applications.
• Designing and implementing automation frameworks:
  Creating and enhancing robust test automation frameworks (e.g., Data‑Driven, Keyword‑Driven, Hybrid) to improve efficiency, reusability, and maintainability of test assets.
• Executing automated tests and analyzing results:
  Running automated test suites, interpreting test outcomes, and identifying discrepancies or defects.
• Defect management:
  Documenting, tracking, and reporting software defects found during automated testing, and collaborating with development teams to ensure their resolution.
• Integration with CI/CD pipelines:
  Integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins to ensure early detection of issues and faster feedback loops.
• Collaborating with development and QA teams:
  Working closely with developers and other QA engineers to understand requirements, define test strategies, and improve overall software quality.
• Improving testing processes:
  Continuously evaluating and optimizing testing processes, strategies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performing cross-browser and cross-platform testing:
  Ensuring application compatibility across various browsers, operating systems, and devices through automated testing.
