Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Green Irony, we exist to turn AI into Actual Intelligence—accelerating outcomes and proving that complexity is optional. We hire people who automate first, ask permission never, and treat ownership as a default setting. If you’d rather govern yourself than be governed by layers of project managers, welcome home.

As a Senior Mule Soft Engineer, you will design and deliver API‑led integration solutions on Anypoint Platform. You will drive architecture decisions, guide engineering teams, and ensure our clients receive scalable, secure, and AI‑optimized integrations.

Location: Remote (US). Raleigh–Durham is a plus, not required.

Eligibility: Must live in the US and be authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

  • Lead technical design, implementation, and deployment of large‑scale Mule Soft integration and API solutions (Cloud Hub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, Anypoint MQ, Flex Gateway, or on‑prem).
  • Develop and maintain Data Weave scripts, Mule flows, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Enforce architectural and security standards (RAML/OAS, OAuth2, JWT, TLS, encryption).
  • Monitor and optimize integrations for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to engineers; lead code reviews and process improvements.
  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders (clients, delivery team, business) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Advance automation with AI‑assisted code review, static analysis, and LLM‑based development platforms.
  • Explore and implement AI/LLM services to augment integration workflows (e.g., summarization, transformation, document parsing, test data generation).

Ways of Working

  • Operate in a flat, high‑autonomy team structure without project managers.
  • Self‑govern to understand project needs, prioritize effectively, manage time, and deliver outcomes through ownership, direct communication, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
  • API & Microservices Architecture: Expert in designing, implementing, and maintaining distributed, scalable API‑led solutions using Mule Soft and industry‑standard patterns.
  • Mule Soft Platform Mastery: Advanced hands‑on with Anypoint Platform, including Data Weave 2.x, Cloud Hub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, Flex Gateway, and Anypoint MQ.
  • AI/LLM Tools & Automation: Passionate about leveraging AI‑powered development platforms (Cursor, LLM‑based assistants, static analysis) to accelerate solution design, code quality, and troubleshooting. Treats AI as a core tool for efficiency and innovation, not just an add‑on.
  • Dev Ops, CI/CD & Automation: Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud‑native deployment strategies.
  • Security & Integration Standards: Advanced knowledge of RAML/OAS, OAuth2, JWT, TLS, and encryption best practices; enforces architectural and security standards.
  • Programming Proficiency: Skilled in Java and Node.js, with the ability to refactor legacy codebases into clean, maintainable solutions.
  • Mule Soft

    Certifications:

    Mule Soft Certified Developer – Level 1 required;
Architect or Integration Professional certifications strongly preferred.
  • Self‑organization & Communication: Proven ability to work independently, structure your own work, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Outcome Focus: Track record of delivering measurable business value, not just completing tasks.
Preferred/Bonus
  • Experience integrating Salesforce, AWS, or other SaaS/ERP platforms.
  • Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
  • Hands‑on experience or strong interest in AI/ML pipeline design or integration.

Remote – USA

$135,000 – $160,000 USD
