Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer
- Cryptography for a leading technology organization in the Raleigh Durham, North Carolina area. The Sr. Software Engineer
- Cryptography role is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite in the office. The Sr. Software Engineer
- Cryptography will support the development and enhancement of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) platform, contributing to secure certificate management, cryptographic services, automation, and infrastructure modernization efforts. An ideal candidate for the Sr. Software Engineer
- Cryptography role is an experienced engineer with strong expertise in Golang, C programming, Linux development environments, and Dev Ops practices.
- Cryptography:
- Design, develop, and maintain PKI platform components and cryptographic services using Golang and C in Linux-based environments.
- Build and enhance automation, deployment, and operational tooling leveraging Git, Git Hub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and support Linux packaging solutions for secure software distribution and deployment.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable certificate lifecycle management solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
- Cryptography:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Golang and C programming.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Git Hub, Linux operating systems, and Linux package management (RPM, DEB, etc.).
- Knowledge of PKI, cryptography, certificate management, TLS, and other security-focused technologies.
- Experience with Dev Ops methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native tooling.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering practices.
- Cryptography includes:
- Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
