Super‑Sod Class‑A CDL Driver – transport seed, sod, and soil products to customers, ensuring timely and reliable deliveries while upholding safety and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Operate company‑owned and leased trucks for shipping and receiving operations.
- Move trucks and trailers between farms, retail facilities, and commercial/residential properties.
- Perform pre‑, during‑, and post‑operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports.
- Deliver outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
- Operate all material handling equipment.
- Maintain DOT, OSHA, and company safety certifications.
- Protect property and keep it in excellent condition.
- Assist with any other tasks assigned to support team operations.
Typical work hours are Monday‑Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., though actual days and hours may vary at the discretion of the Regional Driver Manager or Logistics Director. During the harvesting season (typically March‑September) Saturday work may be required, usually from 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., with weekly hours averaging 55–60 hours. Part‑time roles may be considered.
TRAVELPrimarily regional interstate hauling during regular business hours; occasional out‑of‑area and evening travel may be expected.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- Minimum 23 years of age.
- At least 2 years proven commercial truck‑driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Valid Class‑A CDL, Medical Card, and multiple‑state certification status.
- Successful background check and drug test.
- Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles.
- Alert, focused, and detail‑oriented.
- Physically and mentally fit; able to lift up to 50 lb.
- Proficient with electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, GPS, and route planning.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Drivers sit and steer for long periods, coordinating arm, leg, and foot controls while operating a commercial truck. Forklift operation for loading and unloading is required, with frequent entry and exit of the cab. Adequate leg, foot, arm, and hand control are necessary for safe vehicle operation in diverse weather conditions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThe position requires personal time management and scheduling duties.
TOTAL EARNING POTENTIALBase weekly pay: $1,000 – $1,192 (equivalent to $52,000 – $62,000 annually, based on experience).
Additional weekly compensation: Drop pay $50 – $250 based on completed drop‑offs.
Quarterly safety bonus: 10 % of total quarterly base pay plus drop pay, awarded for incident‑free driving, inspections, and compliance.
