As a Part Time Universal Banker you will provide a full range of banking services to retail customers; including both transactional and non-transactional processes. You will offer customers more personal banking options while still providing traditional services and assist the branch in reaching all set goals.

• Process all banking transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cashing checks, money orders, gift and bank checks, loan payments, safe deposit box rentals) through Columbia Bank’s online terminals.
• Open new deposit and checking accounts, explain products to customers, handle deceased accounts, maintain files, and assist with safe deposit boxes.
• Discuss personal financial needs with customers, make recommendations, cross‑sell bank products, and interact with other bank departments as required.
• Provide customer service in person or via phone, resolve inquiries and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction, and explain online banking features.
• Prepare daily proof sheets at close of business and help with end‑of‑day closing procedures, including branch consolidation sheet preparation and required document imaging.
• Maintain accurate customer and account records, including safe deposit box records and branch files.
• Make referrals to Wealth Management, First Jersey Title, Mortgage Origination, and other departments as appropriate.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma required;
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of financial products preferred.
• Interpersonal, time‑management, organizational, and PC skills a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work weekends as needed or scheduled.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Candidates must attend mandatory training; continued employment is contingent upon passing training classes.

We provide you with training to help you excel in your position. Universal Banker positions require either part‑time or full‑time training for 10 business days. Training schedules are based on availability.
