Part‑Time Accountant

Ramsgate, Kent | Office‑Based | Permanent

Salary: £16-£18 per hour, dependent on experience

Hours:

Three days per week, 9am – 4pm

This practical, hands‑on role supports a small team and works directly with clients. Responsibilities include preparing draft statutory accounts from a trial balance, working through balance sheets and P& L statements, maintaining accurate working papers, responding to client queries by email, phone and in person, supporting senior team members as required, and operating confidently in a busy, open‑plan office environment.

Note:

this role does not involve final sign‑off or corporation tax work.

To be considered, you should be confident in your ability to work independently within an accountancy practice setting.

• AAT Level 4 qualified (minimum requirement)
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice
• Confident preparing accounts from a trial balance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients
• Organised, professional, and reliable
