Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed business to appoint a Director of FP&A at a pivotal stage in its journey.

With a clear value creation plan and a defined exit horizon, this is a rare opportunity to join the executive finance team in a role that will be instrumental in preparing the business for a successful transaction. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead the evolution of the FP&A function, providing the insight, rigour and commercial challenge required to support strategic decision-making and maximise shareholder value.

This is far more than a traditional planning and analysis role. You'll play a key part in shaping the investment narrative, enhancing financial reporting, strengthening forecasting capability and ensuring the business is genuinely exit-ready.

Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A function. Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes. Deliver insightful analysis to support commercial and strategic decision-making. Build board-quality reporting and KPI dashboards for investors and the executive team. Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting capability and financial controls. Partner with operational and commercial leaders to identify value creation opportunities. Support lender, investor and due diligence requirements throughout the exit process.

Develop robust financial models, scenario planning and valuation analysis to underpin strategic initiatives. Play a central role in preparing the business for a successful private equity exit. About You We're looking for an ambitious finance leader who combines technical excellence with strong commercial acumen.

You'll ideally be: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. An experienced FP&A leader operating at Head of FP&A, Director of FP&A or a similar senior commercial finance level. Comfortable working within a private equity-backed, fast-paced or transformational environment. Experienced in building sophisticated financial models and presenting complex information clearly. A confident business partner with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and investors.
