Trade Counter Assistant / Driver

HOURS:

44 per week – Permanent role, 7:00‑4:30 pm Monday to Friday, 8:00‑12:00 pm Saturday rota

SALARY: £29,080.48 basic salary per year
BONUS/OTE:
Realistic total earning potential of up to £32,680.48 per year

• Lead by example, work closely with the Branch Manager and Supervisor in day‑to‑day branch operations
• Execute trade counter sales to achieve sales targets and confidently communicate product knowledge to customers
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers
• Pick, load and deliver products to customers via Eurocell’s 3.5‑tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
• Plan routes, drive safely and keep the company vehicle clean
• Support the Branch Manager with actions and activities on time and in full
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, company policies and procedures
• Maintain operational standards and branch sales targets are achieved
• Support the delivery of sales targets while developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Assist with delivery of branch operations
• Provide support to branch colleagues as required
• Maintain branch standards – warehouse and stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness, point of sale

• Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets
• A hands‑on customer‑focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential future customers
• A commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, whilst ensuring customers walk away happy
• Good organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and use own initiative
• Confident IT user with experience of MS Office and industry‑standard software such as SAP
• A full and valid driving licence is essential; a FLT licence could be a distinct advantage
• Previous branch stock‑take experience could be a distinct advantage
• Comfortable working in a small team and occasionally on one’s own
• Experience with in a similar role ideally xlqdzyr in a trade / builders merchant /retail, glazing or uPVC environment could be a distinct advantage
