Junior Accountant, or Entry Level Accountant, supports the finance department by handling daily accounting tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, updating ledgers, and assisting with month-end closing. They ensure financial records are accurate, compliant with regulations, and assist senior staff with financial reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities Data Entry & Maintenance:
Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date, general ledgers.

Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements to ensure accuracy.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Process, manage, and track incoming invoices, payments, and expenses.

Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and monthly or yearly financial reports.

Compliance & Audit Support:
Help prepare for audits and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or, for India, AS/Ind AS standards.

Payroll Assistance:
Process or help with employee payroll and verify timesheets. Required

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

Software Proficiency:

Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Analytical

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify financial discrepancies.

Knowledge:
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and regulations. Typical Experience0-2 years of experience in an accounting role or internship.
