A well-established commercial contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts for metal stud framing and drywall scopes across a range of commercial building types. This individual will play a critical role in generating competitive bids, collaborating with GC partners, and driving early-stage project success.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong estimating background and deep understanding of metal stud framing and drywall systems in commercial construction.

• Prepare detailed takeoffs and pricing using estimating software (OnCenter, Buzz Bid, Plexxis/Winbid)
• Partner with general contractors during budgeting and conceptual design phases
• Generate and submit accurate, timely proposals across various market sectors
• Lead bid efforts and secure signed contracts for awarded work
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams on design-build opportunities
• Coordinate with internal BIM teams when needed to support project scope
• Produce job-cost budgets and assist with project handoffs and kick-off activities
• Maintain and grow relationships with GC partners to support repeat business
• Represent the company in meetings with general contractors, clients, and design teams
• Promote clear communication between estimating, field teams, and leadership
• Provide market and cost feedback to inform ongoing business development and pricing strategies

• 4+ years of experience in metal stud framing, drywall, or related commercial construction estimating
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, means, and methods for wall and ceiling systems
• Proficiency in takeoff and estimating tools such as OnCenter, Buzz Bid, Plexxis/Winbid
• Familiarity with software platforms such as Excel, Outlook, Plan Grid, Fieldwire, Procore, and scheduling tools
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Experience working on mid-to-large scale commercial projects across diverse sectors
