Position DescriptionChaffey College is seeking applicants for the Music part‑time faculty pool. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Music instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview. Evaluation of applicants will start immediately and the position is open until filled.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's in music; OR
- Bachelor's in music AND Master's in humanities; OR
- The equivalent; AND
- Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.
Meeting minimum qualifications does not assure the candidate of an interview. Applications will be evaluated taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities.
Desirable Qualifications- Degree concentration in one of the course areas or relevant professional experience/expertise.
- Demonstrated skill in using innovative online teaching methods, instructional design, and assessment strategies.
- Evidence of a demonstrated commitment to equity in the community college setting.
