Position Description


Chaffey College is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the Aviation Maintenance Technology Department. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College

Minimum Qualifications for Aviation Maintenance Technology instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience; OR
• Associate degree and six years of professional experience; OR
• A valid lifetime credential that authorizes service as an Aviation Maintenance Technology Instructor in a California Community College; OR
• The equivalent; AND
• Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW. Applications will be evaluated taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant Certificates.

COMPENSATION
Part-time faculty compensation is commensurate with education and District teaching experience according to the lecture, lab, or non-instructional rate schedules.
