The purpose of this position is to oversee fabrication, warehouse and material handling for YKK AP America, a premier manufacturer of architectural aluminum fenestration products.

• Demonstrated ability to perform all job functions of all fabrication and material handling positions.
• Ability to fabricate all types of doors and frames with complex custom hardware.
• Responsibility for safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and equipment maintenance in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for integrity of quality inspection program to ensure conformance to specifications
• Oversight of the adjustment and calibration of machinery and equipment as needed when quality inspection results identify product deviations from standards.
• Reviews and interprets specifications, drawings, and job work orders to ensure accurate understanding and execution by production personnel.
• Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and productivity goals, monitoring metrics and inventory to make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Accountable for maintaining inventory accuracy across the warehouse and fabrication operations.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
• Leads and coaches a team of production associates, material handlers, and fabricators. Driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of production activities, attendance, and performance metrics.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 5 years material handling experience in glazing industry or equivalent skills and qualifications.
• Significant Fabrication or Material Handling supervisory experience
• CPIM certification preferred
• Certified aluminum welder preferred
• Computer Skills required
• Organizational Skills
• Will have to use Forklift and Side Loader, YKK AP will certify
• Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence

At YKK AP America Inc., base pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role in Southern California is between $57,411 - $97,649 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
