JOB SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Coordinator supports Production, and R&D by coordinating material flow, managing inventory activities, and ensuring accurate and timely movement of raw materials and finished goods. This role blends advanced receiving, inventory control, and production support responsibilities. The Supply Chain Coordinator acts as a key resource for ERP/MRP processes, helps maintain strong inventory accuracy, and supports cross-functional teams to ensure materials are prepared and available for daily production needs.
Key responsibilities will also include loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods, logging materials in the receiving inspection logbook, and managing shipping/receiving tasks.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform receiving duties such as unload and receive inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, and notify appropriate parties of damaged or missing shipments for freight claims.
- Lead material distribution to Production and R&D areas, ensuring timely staging of raw materials and consumables.
- Accurately document all activities associated with receiving, warehousing and shipping operations as instructed and in a timely manner.
- Plan and coordinate deliveries and pick-ups to and from suppliers.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts of raw materials.
- Maintain, clean, and organize respective work areas.
- Propose continuous improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation practices.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Foster an integrated culture founded on quality, safety, compliance, and efficiency.
- Follow company safety standards and provide support to other departments related to regulatory standards.
- High sense of urgency and ability to meet time-sensitive requirements.
- Flexibility to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
- Strong knowledge and/or understanding of ERP and MRP systems (preferably SAP).
- Deep understanding of effective receiving protocols and documentation requirements to support end-to-end traceability.
- Knowledge and experience with good manufacturing practices, and inventory management.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal methods with manager and co-workers.
- Preferred understanding of medical device manufacturing techniques, methodologies, and philosophies.
- Ability to read, write and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Good record keeping and documentation skills
- 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or distribution.
- Experience in the medical device industry or other highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Forklift certification/experience preferred.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time, including sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally move about inside the office and travel to and from office buildings. This may include, but is not limited to, bending and walking.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer, computer keyboard, calculator, etc.
- Must be able to read and manually conduct inspection processes and procedures with provided tools.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily.
- Must be able to frequently lift up-to 50 pounds. This may be performed with reasonable accommodation.
