A well-established and rapidly growing importer and distributor of food products, specializing in edible oils and packaging solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Food service Sales Representative to join their team. This company serves a broad range of customers in the food service sector from local distributors to national chains offering high-quality, flexible supply solutions.

About the Role

The Food service Sales Representative will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and managing key accounts in the food service sector. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and has a solid understanding of the food distribution industry.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Identify and approach new food service customers including distributors, restaurant groups, and institutional buyers
  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines in alignment with company objectives
  • Conduct regular client visits, product demos, and follow-ups to build trust and loyalty
  • Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, operations, and logistics) to ensure seamless order fulfillment
  • Track industry trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain detailed and accurate sales records using CRM software
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Provide input on product development and marketing strategies based on customer insights
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of proven success in B2B food service sales or food distribution
  • Strong knowledge of the food service landscape, including distribution channels and buyer behavior
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a sales territory and travel for client visits, as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in edible oils, condiments, or packaged food products is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus but not required
