Job SummaryAs an Experienced Diesel Mechanic at Rapid Diesel Repair, you’ll be at the forefront of our industry leading team. Performance Objectives- Lead complex diagnostics and repair projects, mentoring junior technicians and ensuring high quality workmanship
- Conduct thorough inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in all work activities
- Advanced diagnostic and repair skills for diesel engines, including engine overhauls
- Expertise in transmission diagnostics and repairs, including clutch replacements
- Mastery of suspension system repairs and upgrades, including steering components
- Proficiency in brake system diagnostics and repairs, including ABS system troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of aftertreatment systems, including SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) systems, DEF injection system, and DPF regeneration systems
- Advanced electrical diagnostics skills for troubleshooting complex issues and integrating aftermarket accessories
- Extensive experience with air brake system maintenance, including knowledge of all valve operations and air compressor replacements
- Ability to conduct thorough 90‑day BIT inspections and Annual DOT inspections, ensuring compliance and safety
- Proficiency in using our software system, Fullbay
- Must provide a well‑rounded assortment of tools to perform most job functions
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a vocational training program in diesel mechanics or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnostics and major repairs
- Full Time
- 40 hours per week
