* For 10 hour and 12 hour shifts this is the average hourly rate which includes overtime when a non-exempt employee works over 8 hours.

Required:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within one (1) year of hire and completion within five (5) years of hire if hired after July 1, 2012

Licensure/Certification:

Required:

California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure;
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) required in all departments upon hire;

Additional certifications required as outlined based on assigned department:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA:

Within 180 days of hire:

  • 6172 Medical Surgical 4E (required only for Pediatric RNs) Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification from AHA and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP):

Upon hire:

  • 6400 2N LDRP
  • 6530 Neonatal ICU Level II
  • 6400 2N LDRP if assigned to L&D (required for Labor RN only)

Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Advanced Fetal monitoring:

Upon hire for external new hires:

Within 90 days for internal transfers:

  • 6400 2N LDRP if assigned to L&D (required for Labor RN only)

Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support (STABLE) course completion:

Within 30 days:

  • 6400 2N LDRP (required for Postpartum RN only)
  • 6530 Neonatal ICU Level II

ONS Provider Card:

Within 90 days:

  • 7641 Main Infusion

Within three (3) years if hired after January 1, 2022 if full-time or part-time:

Hyperbaric Certification:

Within one (1) year:

  • 7070 Wound Care Clinic (Warke)

Experience:

Required:

One (1) year of acute care RN experience or successful completion of Eisenhower’s Nurse Residency Program
Preferred:
Experience in the area of specialty; ONS Provider Card if assigned to 6171 Medical Surgical 3E

Job Objective:

Provides direct patient care, collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of health care services to the specific patient population. Assesses patient's needs, plans care, implements and evaluates patient care in accordance with the patient’s needs based on the nurse’s knowledge of growth/development, the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures and standards.

Demonstrates leadership skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth.

  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Assesses, utilizing age specific data, the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and spiritual status in a comprehensive manner; provides accurate assessment based on scientific facts and principles.
  • Performs initial assessment and completes required documentation within organizational standards.
  • Performs and documents ongoing assessments including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention.
