Must-Have:
Traveler must be proficient in EPIC charting.
Must be able to float to MS/Telemetry and OBS units.
Every other weekend coverage is required.
Traveler may be called off or placed on call once per pay period.
Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg/Telemetry specialty.
Responsibilities include caring for a high acuity oncology patient population, including adults and geriatrics.
The unit provides care for patients with diabetes, pneumonia, cellulitis, and wounds.
The nurse will manage patient ratios of 4:1, with special chemo cases requiring 1:1 coverage.
The nurse will perform port access, wound vac management, and operate specialty equipment such as Baxter single chamber pumps.
Candidates should have experience in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
Knowledge in the use of rapid response and code teams is essential.
The use of telemetry monitoring and peripheral line care/management is also required.
The nursing staff will support interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Nurses will be expected to administer chemotherapy if certified by ONS.This role involves day-to-day management of patient care, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
All applicants must be flexible with scheduling.
No travel experience is preferred, but candidates should have the ability to float within their skillset.
