RN - ICU

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Rancho Mirage, California.

This is a 13-week contract position.

3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, Night Shift with 3-4 weekend shifts required per month. Travelers may also be placed on call and may need to float to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry.

The unit has an average daily census of 20 patients and provides intensive care for adult patients during critical illness. The focus includes managing patients with cardiac conditions, respiratory issues, strokes, sepsis, diabetic keto acidosis (DKA), and postoperative complications. The documentation system used is EPIC.

• Assess and manage patients requiring intense monitoring and care.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips including nor epinephrine, dopamine, and others.
• Perform central line and arterial line placements, as well as intubations and tracheostomies.
• Conduct neuro assessments, particularly for hemorrhagic stroke patients.
• Provide care for patients with multi-system organ failure and chronic/acute renal failure.
• Administer blood products and manage IV insulin protocols.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions.

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Strong experience with cardiac, respiratory, and neuro assessments preferred.

• Active CA RN license required.
• Must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
