• Read/write English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, price codes, shelf tags, brief correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but indirect written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra awesome).

• Maintain a store section as assigned; order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment; ensure correct pricing; check product date codes; stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases; prepare perishable products for sale; set up advertising/promotional displays; review invoices and bills for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in interior and exterior areas, including the parking lot.
• Operate a cash register; receive payment from customers; make change; process checks, charge, and debit transactions; process cash and/or credit refunds when approved by management; verify eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers, providing current store and product information; load customer purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties; record lost or damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.

The Part‑time Associate reports to the Store Manager and performs management‑assigned duties, which may include receiving inventory, stocking and maintaining a store section, operating a cash register, carry‑out services, and store cleaning.
