Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist / Collections

Pay Range: $28–$32/hour

Our client, a service-based organization, is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist / Collections to manage high-volume AR and lead collection efforts. This role is ideal for a seasoned AR professional who is comfortable working with service contracts, resolving complex billing issues, and communicating effectively with Spanish-speaking clients.

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment application, and collections
• Lead collection efforts on past-due accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships
• Communicate with clients via phone and email in both English and Spanish regarding billing and payment issues
• Research and resolve discrepancies, short pays, and disputed invoices
• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate aging reports
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, operations, and accounting) to resolve billing concerns
• Prepare AR reports, collection status updates, and aging summaries for management
• Assist with month-end close activities related to AR
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections, preferably within a service-based environment
• Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal) – required
• Strong understanding of AR processes, collections strategies, and dispute resolution
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Quick Books, or similar)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the AR function

• Experience handling high-volume or complex AR portfolios
• Prior experience in a senior or lead AR role
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables a plus)
