Virtium, a leader in industrial embedded memory and storage solutions, is expanding its product portfolio to serve the LEO and Aerospace and Defense (A&D) market. We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead this strategic segment and drive business growth. This role will define product specifications, deepen market intelligence, align customer needs with product capabilities, and support go-to-market initiatives.
Responsibilities- Market Strategy & Opportunity Development
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize A&D opportunities in collaboration with the VP of Business Development and GTM team.
- Analyze and communicate key product and commercial trends across A&D subsegments, including LEO, GEO, MEO, New Space, and Traditional Space.
- Assess competitive landscape and market conditions to develop product roadmaps and positioning.
- Customer Engagement & Proposal Management
- Assist in the development of customer-specific proposals to win new business.
- Support contract negotiations alongside Sales and internal stakeholders.
- Build strategic alliances and partnerships with key customers.
- Program & Product Execution
- Support scheduling, pricing, and delivery of accepted business.
- Ensure alignment between Engineering, Operations, and customer expectations for the A&D/LEO roadmap.
- Monitor business milestones and ensure on-time, profitable execution.
- Sales Enablement & Internal Collaboration
- Create application-specific materials and competitive analysis tools for Sales.
- Organize and participate in monthly (or more frequent) program status meetings with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Act as a strategic advisor on current projects and future opportunities.
- Budget & Performance Management
- Prepare and manage the annual budget for the A&D/LEO program.
- Drive P&L goals through the Sales team and internally to ensure expected profit margins.
- Track and report on program performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- BA/BS in Engineering, Organizational Development, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing within the A&D sector.
- Strong understanding of A&D Mil Specs, DFARS, and related compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Click Up, , or similar project management tools.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to position products strategically and execute growth plans effectively.
- Strategic thinker and solution-oriented leader.
- Skilled in equipping Sales teams to negotiate and close profitable deals.
- Ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities based on resource availability.
- Confident advocate for business initiatives aligned with company goals.
- Established network within the A&D market.
