Position: Applied Kids Infant-Toddler Teacher (12ECE Units & 3 Infant-Toddler Units)

Applied Kids is a child development center serving children, ages 3 months to 6 years of age, of Applied Medical team members. The Applied Kids child development center believes that learning emerges through children’s interests and interactions with their peers, adults and the environment. Additionally, we believe relationships are a key component of young children’s social‑emotional development; therefore, we strive to provide children with a safe and engaging learning environment where they can build trusting relationships with their teachers and peers.

We achieve this by having intentional interactions with the child to develop trust, foster autonomy, and provide uninterrupted time for play.

Position Description

Applied Kids is seeking a caring and energetic Infant‑Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the growth and learning of children ages 3 mo. – 36 mo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise infants and toddlers while ensuring compliance with childcare licensing and safety standards.
  • Plan and lead age‑appropriate activities that support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Collaborate with team members to design, evaluate, and enhance curriculum, routines, and learning environments.
  • Build positive relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and developmental updates.
  • Create a clean, safe, and inclusive classroom that celebrates cultural diversity and fosters trust.
  • Participate in professional development, training, and staff meetings to uphold best practices in early childhood education.
Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum of 12 core semester units in Early Childhood Education plus 3 units in Infant/Toddler studies.
  • Knowledge of California Infant/Toddler Learning & Development Foundations, Curriculum Framework, and Title 22 regulations preferred.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool‑aged children in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Eligible for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Development Program Associate Teacher Permit, or higher.
Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Current Child First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
