The Bilingual Reporting Analyst for the Americas at Applied Medical plays a vital role in transforming business data into actionable insights that support strategic growth across Latin America, Mexico, and Canada. This role focuses on building, analyzing, and maintaining reports and dashboards that inform business development decisions and operational performance. The Reporting Analyst (also known as a business intelligence analyst or Power BI data analyst) collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design reporting solutions, and continuously enhance data visualization and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Gather and analyze reporting requirements from regional stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and usability.
- Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, SAP HANA, and other databases.
- Create and maintain metrics, management reports, and performance tracking tools that support business decisions.
- Deliver initial report mockups and prototypes for review, incorporating feedback into final deliverables.
- Evaluate and improve existing reporting processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support to Business Development leadership and other internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, finance, and sales operations to align reporting solutions with organizational goals.
- Delivering accurate, timely, and visually clear reports that guide strategic decision-making across the Americas region.
- Building strong partnerships with regional and cross-functional teams through responsive communication and collaboration.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve data quality, reporting automation, and visualization effectiveness.
- Demonstrating fluency in Power BI and SQL tools while adapting to evolving business needs.
- Supporting Applied Medical’s mission by providing insights that enhance business growth and operational performance.
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, management information systems, economics, finance, or accounting.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish;
French proficiency is a plus. - More than two years of experience in a business information, reporting, or business intelligence role.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Transact-SQL, SQL Server, and SAP HANA.
- Ability to present and explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Foundational understanding of accounting and sales principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organization and time-management skills with the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, cooperative professional relationships within a collaborative environment.
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Microsoft Power BI certification.
- Working knowledge of R, Python, Visual Basic, and the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
- Experience with other components of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Familiarity with wire framing and visualization tools such as Figma or Lucid Chart.
- Understanding of data modeling, performance analytics, and process automation in a business intelligence environment.
