Summary
Life Bridge Health/Northwest Hospital is seeking a dynamic Manager – Nurse Operations to assist Nursing Leadership in developing a management support system that ensures the optimum blend of competent staff essential for patient flow. The Manager directs and monitors bed utilization throughout the hospital to ensure optimal patient throughput.
Management Responsibilities- Abides by the laws and regulations that govern our business to ensure operational excellence.
- Ensures competencies are completed for employees.
- Monitors monthly operating expense performance of assigned department(s) relative to annual budget and other targets established by senior leadership, including operating budget, productivity standards, overtime utilization and premium pay standards.
- Communicates, collaborates and cultivates an atmosphere of inclusion and belonging.
- Ensures appropriate hiring and provides a welcoming and supportive environment for new team members.
- Champions the patient experience and commits to being relationship focused.
- Ensures team members’ pay is accurate and effective to meet business needs.
- Manages the performance and development of individuals and teams, responsible for directing, assigning and reviewing work, and for discipline of employees or providing input for disciplinary action up to termination.
- Commits to being a good steward of Life Bridge Health's resources.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). - Experience:
3‑5 years of nursing experience. - Licensure:
Maryland Registered Nurse License (RN). - Certification:
American Heart Association BLS.
