Teacher Assistant
Full‑time, 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – Year‑Round Program. Locations:
Randolph, Norwood, or Mansfield.
As a Teacher Assistant at our May Center School you will support students ages 3‑21 with Autism, developmental and cognitive disabilities, brain injury, or neurobehavioral disorders by using proven methods of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). You will provide compassionate care, facilitate personalized assistance, and engage in skill‑building activities to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where students can grow, thrive, and achieve greater independence.

- Collaborative teamwork – partner closely with lead teachers to bring individualized educational plans (IEPs) to life, ensuring each student’s unique needs are met.
- Direct support – provide hands‑on assistance with personal care tasks and expertly manage behavioral crises, offering unwavering support during classroom activities to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Positive communication – harness positive behavior support strategies to develop essential social skills, enhance communication abilities, and promote independence.
- Supportive atmosphere – cultivate a warm, supportive setting where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to embrace their learning journey.
- Documentation and reporting – thoroughly document student progress and maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring everyone is informed and involved.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience.
- Empathy, patience, compassion, and the ability to support children with diverse communication and behavioral needs.
- Experience with children or individuals with special needs (preferred but not required).
- Competitive pay: $21 per hour, with a $0.50 increase after six months.
