Classroom Counselor

Year‑Round Program

Support. Empower. Transform.

Full‑time, 40 hours per week Monday‑Friday

Responsibilities
  • Implement daily classroom schedules and individualized programs under supervision.
  • Provide instruction in academics, communication, self‑care, and social skills.
  • Collect and track data on student progress to support behavior programs.
  • Use evidence‑based behavior support strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Partner with teachers, clinical staff, and families to support individualized treatment plans.
  • Assist students with personal care and hygiene as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required – strongly preferred if in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Ability to work primarily in a classroom/school setting, with crossover to working in a residential setting.
  • Empathy, patience, compassion, and the ability to support children with diverse communication and behavioral needs.
  • Experience with children or individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities required.
